Ovro ("we", "us", "our") operates ovro.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g., Google), we receive basic profile information from that provider.

Usage data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address. We use PostHog for product analytics.

User content

We store the URLs you monitor, page screenshots, page content snapshots, monitoring settings, AI-generated change summaries, and other content you create or configure in the Service. Screenshots and snapshots are captured from publicly accessible web pages you choose to monitor.

Payment information

Payment processing is handled by Polar. We do not store your full payment details. We may receive limited billing information such as subscription status and plan type.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Monitor web pages for changes and deliver notifications
  • Process transactions and manage your subscription
  • Send service-related communications (e.g., account verification, change alerts)
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve features and performance
  • Provide AI-powered features such as change detection, summaries, and categorization
  • Prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service

4. AI and your data

Ovro uses AI services (Anthropic/Claude) to power change detection, page summaries, and categorization. When these features run, relevant page content is sent to third-party AI providers to generate analysis. We do not use your data to train AI models. AI providers process data according to their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers — third parties that help us operate the Service (Supabase for hosting and authentication, Cloudflare for content delivery and browser rendering, Anthropic for AI features, Resend for email delivery, Twilio for SMS notifications, Polar for payment processing, PostHog for analytics).
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase and Cloudflare. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Data retention

We retain your account information and user content for as long as your account is active. Page snapshots and monitoring history are retained according to your subscription plan. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how the Service is used. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
